  20. -> Forgot to mention that... I used Imagine originally.  LW doesn't have
  21. -> function like that.  Simply put, in Imagine you used images with a co
  22. -> map (2-256 color pics).  The first color in the palette (color 0) is
  23. -> transparent.  24-bit images do not have color maps, so that won't wor
  24. -> Since it is assumed you asre always using 24-bit images, it seems tha
  25. -> they thought that feature would not be missed too much.  Oh, well...

  27. Actually the genlock brushmap feature still works in Imagine, and with
  28. 24-bit images (in fact all images are converted to 24-bit). Color 0 is a
  29. misnomer....it's actually a color register thing that is beyond what I
  30. can explain (big ol' technical discussion I never understood).

  32. Anyway, I was hoping something similar was available in LW. Oh well.
  33. I'll try the other techniques offered. Thanks for all the advice.
